Montara Expandable Building Systems · modular housing + project buildings

Montara expandable modular buildings for housing, accommodation, workspaces and multi-use projects.

Montara Expandable Building Systems are compact-to-transport modular buildings that expand on site into practical accommodation, workspaces and portable multi-use project buildings. The range suits homes, staff housing, tourism cabins, offices, classrooms, community buildings and remote infrastructure projects where transport efficiency, speed of deployment and reduced on-site construction are important.

Floor-plan library

Explore 14 supplied concepts from compact open plan to four-bedroom layouts.

These drawings make the Montara range easier to compare before a project is quoted. Use them to identify a starting point for room count, wet areas, internal partitions and general circulation; the final manufacturing layout is then confirmed for the actual project, destination and service requirements.

Project-specific vertical option

Two-storey pathways where land or occupancy makes vertical space useful.

Two-storey Montara configurations are treated as project-specific rather than a standard option on every model. Internal stairs, upper-level accommodation, plumbing alignment, foundations, wind exposure, lifting, assembly sequencing, egress and local code all need to be resolved for the actual destination.

Project fit

The building, site, services and destination have to work as one project.

Compact transport, wider deployed space

The range travels at approximately 2.2 m folded width, then expands to roughly 6.2–6.3 m overall width depending on model. Transport efficiency only creates value when road access, lifting and final site orientation are planned early.

Standard layouts can be adjusted

Room count, kitchen position, entry, laundry, bathrooms, internal doors, storage and communal space can be reviewed against the intended occupancy, structure and service routes before manufacturing drawings are frozen.

Coastal + island project pathway

Salt, humidity, UV, heavy rainfall and high-wind exposure increase the importance of coatings, drainage, seals, anchoring and maintenance. Coastal-ready or cyclone-ready language always requires project-specific engineering verification.

Weatherproofing is a system

Published detailing includes welded structural joints, expandable-joint seals, door and window gaskets, drainage channels and water-diversion detailing. Site drainage still has to keep water away from and beneath the building.

Electrical planning before production

Confirm kitchen appliances, hot water, air conditioning, data, external lighting, solar, batteries and other major loads before the final wiring and outlet layout is approved.

Wet areas drive service coordination

Bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and extra toilets affect plumbing and electrical routing. Freeze the wet-area strategy early and coordinate it with the site's water and wastewater system.

Delivery + crane access matter

The longer 30FT and 40FT models need early review of road width, gates, bridges, turning envelope, crane position, lifting reach and final orientation before the site plan is committed.

Controlled deployment sequence

Project readiness runs from foundations and lifting through deployment, structural completion, seals, service connections, commissioning and handover. The supplied installation documentation controls the exact lifting and opening method.

Remote and off-grid planning

Solar, batteries, generators, water storage, rainwater, wastewater, communications, maintenance access and spare-parts strategy can become as important as the building itself on remote projects.

Supply-only project model

Apollo supplies the agreed Montara building package and project documentation. Local foundations, unloading, lifting, assembly labour, utility connections, engineering and statutory approvals remain clearly separated unless specifically quoted otherwise.
