Planning guidance

Plan the pump track as a site system, not just a track shape

APOLLO RIDESPAN is a modular pathway, so the first layout does not need to be the final one. A stronger brief considers who will ride, the actual clear footprint, supporting surface, supervision, circulation and whether the project should be able to expand or move later.

Rider group and progression

A school beginner track has different planning priorities from a destination recreation facility. RIDESPAN can serve bicycles, BMX, scooters, skateboards and balance-bike riders, so mixed community sites benefit from readable entry points, predictable flow and clear supervision areas.

Prepared site and drainage

Existing hardstand or a new prepared surface is the cleanest starting point. Grass, soft or uneven sites require a local base solution before the final modular layout is installed. Levels, drainage and access for delivery and assembly should be considered at the same time.

Expansion and reconfiguration

The value of a modular system is the ability to stage, relocate or reconfigure the facility. If future growth matters, protect clear space and access around the first installation so later modules can be added without rebuilding the entire recreation area. Current Apollo RIDESPAN projects retain a 10-year component warranty, subject to the final quoted warranty terms.

Common planning questions

Does the planner produce a final RideSpan layout?

No. It narrows the likely layout family from the available dimensions and use. Apollo still reviews the actual site shape, clearances, access and module configuration before a project is confirmed.

Can a modular pump track sit directly on grass?

Soft or grass sites are treated as requiring a suitable prepared base or installation surface first. The local works solution depends on the site and remains separate from Apollo's supply scope.
