TIRREN · Shower Tray Installation Guide

A documented installation pathway for solid-surface shower trays.

The current manufacturer guide confirms the general shower-tray installation sequence. TIRREN uses it as the baseline project pathway while final tray dimensions, drain position, slip performance and certification are matched to the exact selected model.

Six documented installation stages.

The exact plumbing and waterproofing design remains project-specific. These stages reflect the current shower-tray installation guide.

01 · Set out the tray

Documented

Confirm the tray location and check the wall/floor corner before installation.

  • Use a square to verify the wall/floor corner
  • Final tray footprint comes from the selected product drawing

02 · Prepare the waste opening

Documented

The current guide shows a 5 x 5 inch opening in the subfloor.

  • Opening is centred on the selected waste position
  • Local structure and waterproofing details still govern the final opening

03 · Prepare the waste pipe

Documented

The guide shows a 2 inch PVC waste pipe extending above the subfloor to suit the drain and tray height.

  • Pipe height is coordinated to the selected drain
  • Plumbing must meet local code and project design

04 · Install the drain

Separate item

The current guide shows the shower drain as a separate component.

  • Drain fitting is not shown as included in the generic guide
  • Compatibility is confirmed for the selected tray

05 · Position and level

Documented

Place the tray so the drain body aligns with the waste connection and verify the tray is level.

  • Check full support and final position
  • Do not infer tray falls or drain performance from the generic guide

06 · Seal the perimeter

Documented

The guide finishes with perimeter caulk/silicone between the shower base and surrounding finish.

  • Sealant is not a substitute for the project waterproofing system
  • Joint detail must suit the selected wall/floor build-up

Project pathways

Continue the wet-area specification.

Project priorities

The shower tray is only one part of the wet-area assembly.

01

Waterproofing

The local waterproofing system and tray interface must be resolved by the project design and installer.

02

Drain selection

The generic guide does not establish one universal drain. The final drain is matched to the selected tray and plumbing design.

03

Slip + accessibility

Slip classification, threshold geometry and accessible-room requirements must be confirmed from the exact product and destination requirements.

04

Room tolerances

Walls, screens, finishes and prefabricated bathroom components must be coordinated around the approved tray dimensions.

How Apollo fits

What is still required before a tray can become a named TIRREN product.

This page is an installation-pathway guide, not a substitute for a project waterproofing specification, plumbing design, accessibility assessment or installer method statement.

01

Exact model schedule

Model numbers, available sizes, tray height, thickness and drain locations.

02

Performance data

Slip classification, load/support information, drainage compatibility and any relevant tests.

03

Product drawings

Dimensioned CAD/DWG drawings and installation details for the actual tray family.

04

Certification review

Any product-specific approvals or test reports are matched to the exact tray before publication.

Relevant Apollo systems

Products can be selected individually or combined around the project.
