LUTHVAR COMPLETE · INDOOR HALL SYSTEMS

LUTHVAR · INDOOR MULTI-SPORT HALLS

Retractable divider curtain systems for flexible multi-court sports halls.

Plan court separation around the hall structure, operating schedule, sports mix, sightlines, fire requirements, controls and storage envelope. LUTHVAR treats the divider as part of the building-level sports system rather than a standalone curtain.

SYSTEM PATHWAYS

Select the operating mode before the exact product.

These are project pathways, not fixed factory models. Final dimensions, materials, drives, controls, loads and evidence are locked against the selected system.

01MOTORISED PATHWAY

Centre-Roll Divider

A vertically retracting divider pathway for halls where the curtain needs to clear the floor and recover the playing volume between sessions.

Best suited to
  • School and community halls
  • Multi-court training centres
  • Repeat daily court changeover
  • Shared basketball / volleyball / badminton / futsal environments
Final curtain mass, barrel/drive arrangement, roof loads, controls, limit switches and emergency/manual operation must match the exact supplied system.
02VERTICAL RETRACTABLE

Fold-Up Divider

A folding or lifting divider pathway where the curtain stacks overhead and building geometry allows the required support and storage zone.

Best suited to
  • New-build halls
  • High-clearance multi-court venues
  • Competition / training halls
  • Projects needing clear floor-level circulation
Fold geometry, overhead storage depth, suspension points, structural loads and moving-part safety remain project-specific.
03MANUAL / ASSISTED

Walk-Draw / Side-Stack Divider

A horizontally retracting pathway for selected halls where side storage and track geometry are preferable to overhead winding.

Best suited to
  • Smaller halls
  • Retrofit projects
  • Lower operating complexity
  • Facilities with suitable side-stack space
Track alignment, side-stack volume, floor/wall interfaces, manual force and fire/safety evidence must be confirmed for the exact configuration.
04VISUAL / AIRFLOW CONTROL

Solid + Mesh Combination

A material-selection pathway combining opaque and open mesh zones where visual separation, airflow, light transmission and supervision need to be balanced.

Best suited to
  • Coaching environments
  • School halls
  • Shared training courts
  • Venues requiring partial visibility between zones
Do not assume acoustic isolation, ball containment or fire performance from fabric appearance. Each material needs exact evidence for its intended role.

PROJECT DECISIONS

Resolve the interfaces that control the system.

The product comes after the operating brief. Building structure, surface, movement routes, services and maintenance access can all change the correct system.

01

Court zoning

Define how many courts operate concurrently, where the divider line sits, and whether player, coach or spectator circulation crosses the divider zone.

02

Clear height

Check the divider, support rail, motor, folded/wound storage envelope and adjacent sports equipment against the hall's usable clear height.

03

Building structure

Resolve suspension points, roof loads, secondary steel, fixing method and deflection limits with the building engineer before manufacture.

04

Material strategy

Choose solid, mesh or combination construction around visibility, airflow, ball control, cleaning, durability and fire requirements.

05

Controls & safety

Set local controls, key access, limit switches, obstacle / movement safety, emergency stop and manual recovery requirements for motorised systems.

06

Multi-sport conflicts

Coordinate lighting, scoreboards, basketball backstops, volleyball posts, badminton layouts, HVAC and acoustic systems around the divider path.

PROJECT SEQUENCE

Freeze the project in the right order.

Each step closes a different risk before manufacture or supply.

01

Freeze hall layout

Set court count, sports mix, divider lines, run-offs and circulation before selecting a divider mechanism.

02

Resolve structure

Confirm support geometry, roof loads, motor position, storage envelope and electrical route.

03

Select exact system

Match curtain material, drive/control system and safety features to the operating brief and evidence requirements.

04

Commission & hand over

Complete limit settings, operational testing, manuals, training, inspection schedule and replacement-parts record.

EVIDENCE & RELEASE CONTROL

Exact-system evidence before public performance claims.

Divider-curtain requirements depend on the building, fire strategy, sport programme and exact moving system. LUTHVAR does not apply a blanket certification or performance statement across all curtain types; fire, electrical, structural and safety evidence stays tied to the exact selected configuration.

  • Exact curtain material and current fire-test / classification documents reviewed before public fire-performance claims.
  • Motor, gearbox, controls, voltage, limit switches and emergency/manual operation confirmed for the supplied configuration.
  • Building support loads, suspension/fixing details and structural responsibilities documented before manufacture.
  • Maximum width, height and curtain mass remain exact-system limits rather than generic LUTHVAR claims.
  • Installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, warranty and spare-parts pathways agreed before handover.
  • Any ball-containment, impact, acoustic or visual-separation claim is only used where the exact system evidence supports it.

Apollo NZ Global is supply-only. Building structure, secondary steel, electrical supply, fire strategy, access equipment, local installation, commissioning responsibilities and destination approvals remain project-specific unless expressly included.

NEXT STEP

Turn the system pathway into a project-specific scope.

Send the intended use, venue geometry, destination, operating mode and any available drawings. Apollo will review the system path before quotation.
