CADARN Configurator

Configure the kitset before the accessories.

Choose a standard footprint or enter a project-specific size within the 6 × 4 m / 24 m² CADARN envelope, then set mounting, height pathway, operation, colours, enclosure and exposure requirements. CADARN offers limited made-to-measure flexibility rather than a fully bespoke architectural system.

Planning guidance

What matters when planning an opening louvre pergola

The configurator is intended to organise the project brief before Apollo reviews the final kitset. Dimensions are only one part of the decision: mounting format, exposure, drainage, controls, enclosure intent and the local supporting structure all affect the final pathway.

Size, height and mounting format

CADARN has nine standard footprints from 2 × 2 m through 6 × 4 m. Selected project-specific dimensions can be reviewed within the 6 × 4 m / 24 m² maximum envelope, giving the kitset limited made-to-measure flexibility. The standard finished-height pathway is approximately 2.5 m; optional 3.0 m aluminium posts can be supplied full length for site cutting where additional clearance or level adjustment is needed. Larger or fully bespoke projects move to ARKEN.

Exposure, drainage and local works

An opening louvre roof manages rain through its integrated gutter and internal drainage pathway, but the project still needs a practical discharge route. Open, coastal, snow or otherwise exposed sites should be identified early so wind, loading, foundations and fixings can be reviewed by the local project team.

Colour, controls and side enclosure

CADARN can be planned with manual or motorised operation. Black, White and Grey are standard for both the frame and louvres, and the two can be mixed independently. Flaxpod Matt is a custom powder-coat option at additional cost, subject to colour confirmation and production lead time. CADARN retractable screens use 30% polyester / 70% PVC fabric and are available through guided manual, guided motorised and lighter manual-crank pathways. Current screen fabric colours are Light Grey Y1080-5, Beige Y1080-6 and Black Y1080-9. The sliding-glass pathway uses 8 mm tempered glass in an aluminium sliding frame, with current modules for nominal 3 m and 4 m bays.

Common planning questions

Does the configurator provide structural approval?

No. It records the intended configuration. Wind, snow, foundations, fixings, supporting construction and statutory approvals remain project-specific and must be confirmed for the destination site.

Can CADARN use 3.0 m posts?

Yes. 3.0 m aluminium posts are an available option for additional clearance, uneven or sloping sites, raised slabs and higher finished roof levels. They are supplied full length for site cutting, with the final cut length and structural details confirmed for the project.

Is CADARN fully made to measure?

No. CADARN is primarily a kitset system. Selected project-specific dimensions can be reviewed within the 6 × 4 m / 24 m² maximum envelope, but larger or more complex bespoke architectural layouts should be reviewed under ARKEN.

Can side screens be added to the planning brief?

Yes. CADARN has guided retractable screens, a lighter manual crank screen, decorative laser-cut privacy panels, fixed aluminium louvre walls and adjustable open/close louvre walls. Final compatibility depends on the selected bay, post spacing, fixing method and enclosure combination.

What fixed louvre-wall sizes are available?

The current fixed aluminium louvre-wall pathway has nominal 3.0 m, 3.6 m and 4.0 m bay options, with supplier-listed wall modules of approximately 2700 × 2375 mm, 3300 × 2375 mm and 3700 × 2375 mm.

How does the adjustable louvre wall work?

The adjustable side-wall louvres can be opened, angled and closed to vary privacy and airflow. Current nominal 3.0 m and 4.0 m full-wall pathways use three individual framed panels per wall, at approximately 900 × 2375 mm or 1230 × 2375 mm per panel respectively.

What sliding glass wall sizes are available for CADARN?

The current CADARN sliding-glass pathway has modules for nominal 3 m and 4 m bays. The supplied wall modules are approximately 2700 × 2375 mm and 3700 × 2375 mm respectively, using 8 mm tempered glass in an aluminium sliding frame. Final opening, track, floor level and compatibility must be confirmed for the selected pergola configuration.

Is Flaxpod Matt a standard CADARN colour?

No. Black, White and Grey are the standard colours. Flaxpod Matt is available as a custom powder-coat finish at additional cost and is subject to colour confirmation and production lead time.
