Tennis Turf Systems

Tennis turf selected for the way the court will play.

Commercial artificial tennis turf for clubs, schools, resorts, academies and recreation facilities. Selection is based on playing characteristics, expected use, base condition, drainage, climate, maintenance and any formal court-performance requirement.

Four project pathways

Match the surface to the court programme.

The correct turf is selected around the intended players, operating model and desired court response rather than a single generic tennis specification.

01

Tennis Performance

Performance-oriented pathway for clubs, academies and projects with defined playing characteristics.

Project configured
02

Tennis Club

Commercial club pathway balancing court response, durability, utilisation and maintenance.

Project configured
03

Tennis School & Community

High-use pathway for education, community and recreation facilities.

04

Tennis Resort & Commercial

Hospitality and commercial pathway where presentation, repeat use and operating simplicity are key.

Selection logic

What determines the right tennis turf?

Tennis turf should be selected by the required playing feel and court operation, then matched to the base, drainage, climate and maintenance programme.

Playing level

Performance, club, school, community, resort or recreational use.

Court response

Required pace, bounce, traction and player feel.

Usage intensity

Daily hours, coaching load, events and public access.

Base condition

New slab/base, existing court conversion or resurfacing.

Drainage

Surface falls, permeability strategy and water management.

Climate

UV, heat, rainfall, humidity, freeze-thaw and coastal exposure.

Evidence requirement

Any ITF, consultant or tender performance requirement for the exact surface.

Complete surface system

Court performance starts below the turf.

The selected tennis turf must work with the prepared base, drainage strategy, joint and edge details, line marking and infill where applicable. Court geometry and finished surface tolerances remain part of the wider project scope.

Supply model

LUTHVAR is supplied on a wholesale and project basis. Civil works, drainage construction, installation, testing and local compliance remain project-specific and are confirmed in the project scope.

Project brief

What we need to review a tennis turf court.

The playing programme and existing court construction are the starting point for a reliable surface recommendation.

Evidence control

Performance claims stay tied to the exact tennis surface.

Where a project requires an ITF, consultant or tender performance classification, the exact proposed surface and supporting current documentation are reviewed before any public or project-specific claim is made. One tested system does not transfer its status to another construction.

Tennis project brief

Send the project conditions before locking the turf.

We can then identify the appropriate LUTHVAR tennis pathway and confirm the exact technical configuration at quotation stage.
